How is the Klorofil Platform licensed? The Klorofil Platform is an Open Source Software made available under Common Public License version 1.0 (CPL).
What is the CPL and why was it chosen for the Klorofil Platform? The CPL ("Common Public License") is a license designed by IBM. It has been approved as an open source license by the Open Source Initiative. The CPL is a very good license because it precisely describes a reasonable reciprocal bargain that promotes free software, while maximizing the ability to use and/or integrate the content with software licensed under other licenses, including many commercial licenses. The CPL was chosen to encourage developers of both open source and proprietary software to embrace Klorofil Platform.
Can Klorofil Platform be used in a commercial application?Yes. Klorofil Platform may be used in a commercial application and the only requirement is to adhere to the terms of the Common Public License version 1.0 (CPL).
I would like to learn more about the CPL. What should I do?To learn more about the CPL, you should read the CPL FAQ document that was written by IBM.
I have other questions about distributing Klorofil Platform, trademarks and other license related questions. Who do I contact for help or feedback? If this FAQ does not answer your questions, please send e-mail to Klorofil Legal (legal [at] klorofil [dot] org) for further information.
