Hi!
I tested all the samples of the initial binary windows-only distribution that is available on the klorofil site. It looks quite goos so far, I just can't wait for the Linux version (I have subscribed to the announcement feed).
So far I have noticed a delay when mousing-over a collection of controls, seemingly caused by the mouse-over drawing of the control that has a mouse-over drawing state.
To reproduce: Take the calculator sample, and circle the mouse over the buttons, without pressing any buttons. You will notice a delay in the drawing of the mouse-over state of the calculator buttons.
Would it be possible to disable the mouseover state drawing of a previously drawn object when the mouse-over state of the next object is reached?
This is just a small GUI quirk, but it may impact the effectiveness of the overall GUI, especially if a lot of controls with mouse-over states are present on the same form/window.
What do you think?
Cheerios,
W

Thanks for supporting Klorofil. We planned to release Klorofil Platform 0.2 with linux support in early January 2006. We hope to finish it on schedule.
Currently (ver 0.1), klorofil using temporary solution --> not directly talk to windows GDI. that makes repaint process a little bit slow. But we're developing php extentions that makes klorofil talk directly to windows GDI. We expect it will boost the repaint process.
I hope you can be patient to wait for ver 0.2 --> version that we hope php_gdi extention will be ready.
