In this short screencast, we'll cover the overview you'll need to get started using Purefect Desktop and Kambium which the online demo will be available next week.

This screencast also shows some of Saltanera Kambium (IDE) features. As you watch the screencast, you will be impressed at how rich it is. Many people would assume that this wasn’t run on web browser.

Here's the link to Purefect and Kambium Screencast. It is a zipped SWF file (6,4MB).

This screencast is just an introduction to Purefect Desktop and Saltanera Kambium. Don't forget to try Purefect Desktop online demo next week to feel its environment.

Thank you for making the Purefect/Kambium screencast available. The screencast already answered a lot of questions I had.

Just one question so far: How are data-aware Kambium packages be incorporated into Purefect? (E.g. if I develop an event calendar that has a database driven backend). Will you be taking the approach of data-aware controls for Kambium, or will I simply create my own controls? Please explain briefly what you have in mind in order to incorporate data-aware application into Purefect.

Good luck with the rest of the project's deployment, I can't wait :-)

Kind Regards,

Werner

Hi Werner,

Currently, we are developing a new "database access" feature for Kambium. We'll do our best to make database access as easy and as intuitive as possible. We hope this feature will ease developers.

Just let me know if this comment doesn't answer your question so I can give more details.

Regards,

R. Iqbal
